Jefferson County Parks Department is proud to present its first Disc Golf Course to the public. The course, located off of Hwy Z just two miles northeast of Palmyra at Carlin-Weld County Park is an 18 hole course that plays through open savanna, hardwood forest, and up and over glacial kettles and ridges. Hole design includes elevated pin placements, mandatory obstacles, long and short hole options, trash and recycling cans, benches, recycled asphalt t-pads, and bag holders. Carlin-Weld County Park has a full range of facilities including restrooms, drinking fountain, picnic shelter, and a playground. The park also includes over 2 miles of hiking trails, a fishing pond, and plenty of parking. At this time there is no fee to use the park or play the Frisbee Golf Course. Come and play today while the weather’s perfect!
Existing Facilities - parking lot, shelter, electricity, pump house with two benches, restroom, playground, picnic tables, grills, hiking trail, man-made pond, savanna restoration, open space for play, disc golf course.
